With guidance and oversight from the Mayor’s Office, Made in NY: Fashion lives within NYCEDC, the City’s primary engine for driving economic growth, entrepreneurship, and job creation.
A suite of programs.
In collaboration with the private sector, Made in NY: Fashion is responsible for creating, developing, and implementing an array of specific programs to fortify fashion’s design, manufacturing, and educational sectors.
Made in NY: Fashion serves as an anchor for all facets of the City’s fashion landscape in order to strengthen its sense of community.

We want to capitalize on the fashion world’s increasing emphasis on transparency, sustainability, ethical practices, and local consumption. The mission of Made in NY: Fashion is to make people aware of not just the beauty of their clothes, but also of the social, environmental, and economic benefits of purchasing clothing that is manufactured in New York City.
Made in NY is an iconic logo developed by Radical Media and owned by the City of New York, which has been in use since 2005 as a symbol of local production.
Made in NY: Fashion Community
The Made in NY: Fashion initiative endows qualifying businesses with the exclusive use of the distinguished “Made in NY” mark. Use of this mark will allow fashion brands to tangibly illustrate their commitment to local production and coalesce as a local community.
