Programs for Entrepreneurs

Global Business Exchange

The NYCEDC Global Business Exchange (GBX) will provide opportunities for business expansion to cities around the world, and will bring top start-ups to New York City to grow and thrive.

Global Business Exchange

NYCEDC developed the Global Business Exchange (GBX) to partner with major cities around the world in a shared commitment to global entrepreneurship and innovation. GBX connects local companies to international opportunities, helping them overcome barriers that inhibit entry into foreign markets.

The NYC-Paris Global Business Exchange, the first of these exchanges, was a competition organized by the cities of New York and Paris and launched by NYCEDC and Paris&Co. to reinforce economic relations. Programming will run through summer 2016.

Exchange Cities

Milan is the economic capital of Italy, recognized the world over as one of Europe’s most dynamic cities. The powerhouse behind the Lombardy region and northern Italy is home to leading international brands in fashion and design, a growing hub for innovative startups, and a historical center for education and research.

On May 16, 2016, NYCEDC announced the call for applications for the NYC-Milan Global Business Exchange. Applications are currently closed. Participating companies will be announced later in 2016

Paris is well known as one of the world's top destinations for cuisine, art, and culture. As the home of the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower, and over 75 Michelin star-rated restaurants, quality of life is one thing that is never lacking in the "City of Light." Not only is Paris a great place to live, but it also has a vibrant economy, a growing tech ecosystem, and an entrepreneurial community that is among the best in Europe and the world.
