Architectural Design and Related Consulting Services for Public Health Lab RFP

New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) is seeking a consultant team to provide Architectural Design and Related consulting services to design a new New York City Public Health Lab (PHL). Established in 1892, the PHL was the world’s first municipal bacteriological laboratory and it continues to support the City by performing testing on more than two hundred thousand specimens it receives each year. The PHL Project will consist of approximately 230,000 gross square feet of new construction on a site within the Harlem Hospital campus, including: laboratories and support spaces; offices; walk-in clinic; administration; mechanical; and circulation spaces as required.

NYCEDC plans to select a consultant on the basis of factors stated in the RFP which include, but are not limited to: the quality of the proposal, experience of key staff identified in the proposal, experience and quality of any subcontractors proposed, demonstrated successful experience in performing services similar to those encompassed in the RFP and the proposed fee.
