Who you gonna call? Join us tonight for "Ghostbusters," the first screening of Coney Island Flicks on the Beach, presented by CIDC, NYC & Company, and Rooftop Films. Settle in and enjoy select films shown on a jumbo 40-foot screen on the beach at West 10th Street. Flicks on the Beach runs every Monday night and one Saturday night (July 14) through August 6. The screenings are free to the public and begin at dusk.

Join us this Saturday to celebrate the Cyclone’s 85th Birthday!

Luna Park is going all out for the day-long celebration with contests, giveaways and live performances by musicians and DJ's. To kick off the party, the Cyclone Rollercoaster will cost 25¢ for the first 85 minutes after it opens (at noon), to pay homage to the roller-coaster's price when it opened in 1927.

This past weekend, Coney Island welcomed back the first of the B&B Carousell horses from Carousells and Carvings, Inc. in Ohio where the ride is being meticulously restored. The horse, now named Ravishing Ruby, was on display at the Coney Island History Project where some visitors regaled their favorite Carousell memories while others were introduced to the Carousell for the first time. Bedford-Stuyvesant Family Health Center (BSFHC) held a ribbon-cutting on Monday, April 1st to open their new facility at 1456 Fulton Street. The new space is over 30,000 square-feet and will offer a wide range of programs and services. NYCEDC managed the project through a funding agreement with the organization.
