Experts Wanted For Industrial Business Advisory Council Subcommittees


In its second year, the Industrial Business Advisory Council is building on last year's success with the addition of three subcommittees. The Council was created last year as a forum for feedback on the City's industrial policies in financing, incentives, regulatory mechanisms, and land use.

Expanded Public WiFi in NYC

NYC is about to become a little more connected. Mayor Bloomberg announced two initiatives this week that will further expand wireless and broadband connectivity across all 5 boroughs.

Wireless Corridor Challenge

As part of the Wireless Corridor Challenge, Mayor Bloomberg awarded grants to five organizations to expand free wireless networks in their neighborhoods. The new WiFi networks will give an estimated 2,200 businesses and 320,000 people WiFi access in public spaces.
