Public Voting for the Innovate Health Tech NYC Challenge Ends June 13th

Vote for your favorite Innovate Health Tech NYC Challenge submission and help determine the Popular Choice Award, in which one of the lucky finalists will get to present their technology at our upcoming Demo Day on July 10th! Spread the word through your social networks and help a NYC health tech startup move forward to compete for $50,000 in prizes. Innovate Health Tech NYC challenges local health tech innovators to develop commercially viable technologies to solve urgent health care problems. Twenty-three NYC-based individuals, companies and teams submitted to the challenge hoping to win $50,000 in prizes and receive coaching from StartUp Health in preparation for the final judging at the Demo Day. Judges include senior leaders from Janssen Healthcare Innovation, ZocDoc, NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, Health Venture Group, The Blackstone Group, Allscripts, Medivo, Weill Cornell Medical College, ActiveHealth Management, NYCEDC and Partnership Fund for New York City

New York City is an emerging hub for innovation in healthcare technology. Innovate Health Tech NYC is an initiative of the New York City Economic Development Corporation, developed in partnership with Health 2.0, StartUp Health, and ChallengePost, with sponsorship from Janssen Healthcare Innovation. The goals of Innovate Health Tech NYC are to:

  • recognize the best emerging healthcare technologies by NYC innovators
  • spur the creation of NYC-based healthcare technology companies and jobs; and
  • address urgent needs in healthcare.
