Made In New York Media Center Update
The Made in New York Media Center by IFP opened on October 31 as a central place for innovators in film, video, gaming, and technology to collaborate through education, mentorship, entrepreneurship, and content creation.
Since its opening a little over a month ago, the Media Center has hosted a number of events including a three-day game jam with gaming partner TreSensa.
Other highlights from the Media Center's opening month include:
- More than 40 events, workshops, and classes held in its 20,000 square-foot space, accounting for more than 2,500 visitors, students, partners, and community members
- An inaugural screening of Gotham Independent Film Awards nominees in the center's brand new Cinema (pictured above)
- Over 280 membership applications and inquiries
Stay tuned for upcoming events including a showcase of featured projects from the Center's first 50 members and a Transmedia seminar with Jeff Gomez from Starlight Runner Entertainment, the first event of its kind on the East Coast.
