The first delegation visited New York City over the period of December 6-10, 2010. The delegation included ~20 vetted companies looking to establish a base in the United States within 6-12 months after visiting NYC. The second London-based delegation visited New York City May 9-13, 2011, and again included about 20 companies, the vast majority internet-based. The May delegation was run concurrently with the Singapore to NYC program.

During both of these five day programs, NYCEDC hosted a full schedule of events specifically designed to facilitate the expansion of participant companies. Multiple sessions directly introduced delegates to New York City business leaders, including high-level leaders from the media and technology, fashion, and financial services industries. Prominent entrepreneurs were featured in moderated conversations on the growth and successes of their present ventures. Delegates participated in tours of local business incubators and co-working spaces, presentations on the VC community in NYC, and pitch workshops. Legal and accounting information was presented by professional service providers, and entrepreneurs from London who had already expanded across the pond discussed their learnings. Other program events in both iterations included business receptions, networking and social events, and targeted meetings based on the needs of each delegate.

In addition to the NYCEDC official program, Glasshouse, the partner organization for London in NYC, curated a program of supporting events ensuring maximum exposure and business benefit for all parties.

The program is designed for CEOs and senior executives of companies looking to establish a presence in New York City within 6-12 months of the visit. A range of business sectors will be represented which include, but will not be limited to:
