HireNYC is a free program that connects the City's workforce development services to economic development projects.

HireNYC staff members collaborate with real estate developers, NYCEDC, and communities to assess business opportunities and the need for jobs.

Staff can identify the citywide resources that best meet a company's recruitment needs and connect New Yorkers to employment opportunities in their local area.

HireNYC collaborates with business and workforce development services made available by NYC's government agencies. 

HireNYC can:

• Connect communities to real estate development projects and businesses,
• Provide free business and hiring services to New York City's development community,
• Connect New Yorkers to permanent jobs in their communities,
• Address the workforce development concerns of local community groups, and
• Utilize the City's public workforce development infrastructure to provide free services to both tenant businesses and local community members

HireNYC provides connections between business owners that are operating on city-owned property and job seekers to ensure that local community members have access to jobs that are already available in the local area.
