New York’s Next Top Makers is a program that encourages innovation and local manufacturing in New York City. Next Top Makers increases New Yorkers’ access to new technology, technical knowhow and other resources; assists a cohort of selected Fellows to establish and grow their product businesses in NYC; and connects the surge in prototyping and production activity with New York City’s existing manufacturing and industrial capabilities that already provide well-paying jobs to almost 500,000 New Yorkers.
RISE : NYC is a global competition to identify and deploy new and innovative technologies to prepare New York City small businesses for the impacts of future storms, sea level rise, and other effects of climate change.
This Competition will challenge businesses and organizations in New York City to propose and implement innovative and sustainable programs and business models that will help foster upward income mobility for low-income and/or low-skill and middle-skill workers.
The re-launched Take the H.E.L.M. (Hire and Expand in Lower Manhattan) competition awarded up to four $250,000 cash grants and four $50,000 cash grants to companies seeking to open an office in Lower Manhattan.
