Prior to operation, a food vendor who has received a license from NYCEDC to operate in Hunts Point Landing must obtain a Mobile Food Vendor (MFV) Unit Permit through NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, which indicates that the unit has passed an inspection and meets Health Code Requirements. To obtain this permit, a food vendor must first meet the Department of Health’s prerequisites. Information about obtaining a MFV Unit Permit is located here.
General vendor licenses are not currently available. The maximum number of General Vendor licenses that New York City Department of Consumer Affairs (DCA) issues to non-veterans is limited by law to 853. DCA’s waiting list for non-veteran applicants is currently closed. The waiting list will not re-open for further registration until DCA has run through the current pool of non-veteran applicants. Visit the DCA website for additional information.
