| Weight Watchers, a leading global branded consumer company providing weight-loss services in thirty countries, was near capacity at its 40,000-square-foot headquarters offices on Woodbury, Long Island. The Company underwent a strategic review of its real estate portfolio, including two Midtown Manhattan locations, to determine the best place to relocate its headquarters. | |

After a review of NYC and Long Island options, Weight Watchers decided that a Manhattan consolidation would allow the Company to work more closely with its agencies, partners and colleagues at the Publishing Group and WeightWatchers.com. In addition, a New York City headquarters will allow it to draw talent from many points around the tri-state area.
The Company signed a nine-year sublease and moved its headquarters from Long Island to 11 Madison Avenue between 24th and 25th Streets in the Flatiron District. The 70,000 square-foot location consolidates about 100 corporate jobs from the Long Island office with the company's WeightWatchers.com unit for a total of roughly 250 employees. The relocation to New York City represents a homecoming for Weight Watchers, which was started more than 40 years ago in Little Neck, Queens.
