NYC Business Climate
Central Business Districts (CBDs)
Several dynamic new central business districts (CBDs) are emerging throughout New York City in response to explosive growth across many industry sectors.  In order to create more opportunities for companies who may be interested in locating in these areas, the City is supporting its CBDs through billions of dollars of investment in infrastructure improvements and large-scale development.
Explore each CBD to get detailed information that includes vacancy rates and asking rents for office space, transportation accessibility, local development projects and planned improvements to the area.
Downtown Brooklyn
Already an established business community, Downtown Brooklyn offers affordable space, a rich cultural tradition and a mix of historic and modern residential options.
Hudson Yards
Often considered "the final frontier of real estate development in Manhattan" the Hudson Yards initiative is transforming 360 acres of underutilized land on the far west side of Manhattan.
Long Island City
With its close proximity to midtown and a wide array of affordable and spacious leasing options, Long Island City has emerged as an ideal location for business.
Lower Manhattan
Discover how extensive investment and development has transformed Lower Manhattan into a thriving 24/7 neighborhood and created the prime location for businesses seeking affordable commercial space.
