PRESIDENT'S BIO
SETH W. PINSKY
Seth W. Pinsky was appointed President of the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC ) by Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg in February 2008.

Prior to his appointment, Pinsky served as an Executive Vice President at NYCEDC, where he co-led the Financial Services Division, administering many of the City’s discretionary incentive programs and structuring and negotiating the City’s involvement in many of the larger real estate development projects within the Five Boroughs, including the World Trade Center, Atlantic Yards and the new Yankee and Mets Stadium projects. During his nearly 5 year tenure at NYCEDC, he also helped to coordinate the Hudson Yards redevelopment, where he oversaw the City’s economic impact analyses and property acquisitions relating to the extension of the Number 7 subway train to the Far West Side.

An attorney by training, prior to joining NYCEDC, Mr. Pinsky was an associate at the law firm of Cleary Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton in the Real Estate practice. Before law school, Mr. Pinsky was a financial analyst at the Mergers & Acquisitions boutique, James D. Wolfensohn Incorporated.

Mr. Pinsky is a graduate of Columbia College, where he majored in Ancient History, and Harvard Law School.
