ASSET MANAGEMENT

Manages, maintains and leases City property assets with the goal of maximizing return on assets. The department also manages and maintains assigned waterfront properties and provides Citywide quality of life services to eliminate blight.

CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS
GOVERNMENT & COMMUNITY RELATIONS

Acts as a liaison between NYCEDC and City, State and Federal elected officials, government offices and agencies, and community representatives and stakeholders to facilitate the achievement of NYCEDC’s mission.  The department ensures that proper protocol is followed when communicating with elected officials, community representatives, the Mayor's Office and government agencies.

MARKETING

ADMINISTRATION SERVICES

Handles all daily needs of NYCEDC, including delivering mail, photocopying, maintaining office supplies, managing car services and providing general maintenance of office space and equipment. The department manages NYCEDC's fleet of vehicles and is responsible for security issues, including fire and safety, and the maintenance of cellular devices.

The department does this by keeping the infrastructure and environment in-step with technology, moving the software development to SOA (Service Oriented Architecture), integrating GIS into our software development process and working with external agencies on their IT needs.

CONEY ISLAND DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION (CIDC)

CIDC, established in 2003, is charged with spearheading and implementing a comprehensive planning process for Coney Island and creating a coordinated economic development strategy for the area. Responsible for analyzing the economic and fiscal impact of major influences on the City’s economy. These may range from significant events such as national political conventions to private development projects, City infrastructure investments and economic policy decisions. The department also publishes monthly reports on economic conditions.

STRATEGIC PLANNING

Composed mainly of former private-sector strategy consultants and serves the function of an internal strategy group. TRANSACTION SERVICES

Provides project management and analysis for real estate sales, funding agreements, deed modifications, developer submissions, planning projects and more.
