NEW STAPLETON WATERFRONT
FINAL ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT STATEMENT

The Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) for the New Stapleton Waterfront Development Plan was filed on September 14, 2006. The FEIS was prepared having considered comments received on the Draft EIS from the City Planning Commission, Staten Island Borough President, Staten Island Community Board 1, City agencies and the public. The FEIS examines in detail the effects of a proposed action on an area of land. The purpose of the FEIS is to enable the public and decision-makers to understand the nature and consequences of specific environmental impacts that can be reasonably anticipated as a result of a proposed project.
