HARLEM AUTO MALL

In March 2006, the Harlem Auto Mall, a multi-dealer auto mall in East Harlem opened. Potamkin Auto Group was selected to develop the site as a result of a Request for Proposals issued by NYCEDC.



	PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS Borough: Manhattan $60 million in private investment to date 160,000sf of space for 4 dealerships 175 permanent jobs created First uptown auto mall in 40 years

With about 160,000sf of space, the project accommodates four dealerships including Cadillac and Hummer franchises.

This development has infused economic vitality into Harlem, creating roughly 175 permanent jobs many with high salaries, training programs and management opportunities.

The project has also generated at least $60 million in private investment and may eventually approach $100 million.

Harlem Auto Mall is the largest auto sales and service center in New York City, and the first located above 60th Street in over 40 years.

The Auto Mall replaced several neglected lots, abandoned buildings, and a location for storing road salt.
