Our Projects

NYCEDC participates in a variety of projects that stimulate economic growth and vitality in New York City.

Real estate development initiatives often rethink uses of strategic and/or underutilized property for economic development purposes. This can include the creation of new and enhanced retail opportunities, parks and open areas and cultural spaces that improve the quality of life in a given area.

The corporation also oversees transportation and infrastructure projects that focus on changes that will contribute to distribution efficiencies within the Tri-state region. These projects could include the upgrading of ferry terminals or other transportation innovations.

NYCEDC's other activities include conducting planning and feasibility studies, performing financial analyses, guiding projects through necessary public approvals and packaging City programs and incentives.
