A highly competitive full-time program, the NYCEDC Project Management Program offers unique exposure to our different disciplines and departments. Program participants join NYCEDC as Project Managers or Senior Project Managers and rotate through three departments over a two-year period. At the end of two years, upon successful completion of the program, participants are placed in departments as full-time employees.

Core skills training includes finance, real estate, negotiation, presentation and general project management, all designed to prepare NYCEDC Project Managers to work effectively across several departments. We seek bright undergraduates with a Bachelor’s degree in any field of study or Master’s degree graduates in urban planning, real estate, public policy, public administration and/or business administration to join this program.

Public Service with a Private Sector Culture
NYCEDC’s structure allows greater operational flexibility than other organizations that provide similar services. Our employees get a mix of public/private sector experience.

NYCEDC offers a variety of learning opportunities designed to enhance the practical skills and business knowledge of our full-time employees. These range from onsite technical and job-specific training courses to tuition reimbursement for career enhancement. Employees may also participate in NYCEDC’s company-wide mentoring program.
