JACKSON AVENUE STREETSCAPE PROJECT

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: June 6, 2008
SUMMARY

New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) is seeking a construction contractor to provide construction services for street and open space improvements on and adjacent to Jackson Avenue in Long Island City, Queens.   The project will include streetscape improvements along Jackson Ave in Long Island City from Queens Plaza to 23rd St. and adjacent open spaces, such as new landscaped medians, new pavements, sidewalks and curbs, new street lighting and traffic signals, signage, site furniture, landscaping, the expansion of Rafferty and Sun Dial Parks, the creation of Hunter St. Park and other related improvements. The Project will also include minimal work to realign traffic and provide new street lighting on Jackson Ave. from 23rd St. to 21st St   NYCEDC intends to award a contract to the lowest, responsible and responsive bidder.  Please refer to the Invitation for Bids for more information.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Detailed submission guidelines are outlined in the Invitation for Bids.  The cost of the Bid package is $150.00. The only form of payment accepted will be exact cash, certified check or money order payable to NYCEDC.  
The Bid package will be available for pick up as of Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at the offices of NYCEDC located at 110 William Street, New York, NY 10038, 6th floor.

 Sealed Bids must be received no later than 11:00 am on Friday, June 6, 2008 at NYCEDC, 110 William Street 6th Fl., New York, NY 10038 to the attention of Maryann Catalano, Vice President, Contracts.  Bids will not be accepted after 11:00 am

Bids will be opened publicly at the office of NYCEDC at the date and time specified above.

INQUIRIES & PRE-BID MEETING

The answers to question submitted by Friday, February 8, 2008 will be posted to this page by Friday, February 15, 2008.  Questions received after the February 8, 2008 deadline but before February 14, 2008 will be posted to this page by Wednesday, February 20, 2008.

Respondents may submit questions and/or request clarifications from NYCEDC no later than 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 21, 2008. Questions regarding the subject matter of this RFP should be directed to jacksonavenuebid@nycedc.com. For all questions that do not pertain to the subject matter of this Bid please contact NYCEDC’s Contracts Hotline at (212) 312-3969.

Answers to all questions will be posted to this page by Monday, February 25, 2008.
