OneCampusNYC.com: NYCEDC Launches an All Access Website for Students

The first website of its kind for New York City will enable students considering, planning or already attending one of the City�s higher education institutions to learn about the wide range of information and resources to make living in the city easier.

NYC is Calling for Innovative Ideas in Renewable Energies

This RFEI is calling for innovative ideas to help New York City develop sources of renewable energy. All ideas are being considered from off-shore wind-farms to wind turbines on top of New York City's bridges and skyscrapers to the generation of tidal power, solar power and geothermal energy. Responses to the RFEI are due September 19.

Ensuring the Cultural Evolution of 125th Street

NYCEDC is seeking qualifications and potential uses from not-for-profit organizations for an arts and cultural venue in the 125th Street District. A wide variety of organizations and uses will be considered, including but not limited to, theaters, live music venues, performance space, museums and galleries, and multimedia organizations.

West Chelsea is Growing Alongside The High Line

The development of the elevated railway is helping the West Chelsea neighborhood grow with over $900 million in new real estate development, resulting in increased real estate values. The High Line park's first segment, from Gansevoort Street to 20th Street, is scheduled to open early this winter.

Final Design for Pier 15 Moves Forward

NYCEDC cleared an important hurdle in the process of finalizing the design of the new pier, garnering a majority approval from Community Board 1. Plans for the new two-tiered pier include an elevated park and is slated to be a maritime education center run by the South Street Seaport Museum. The design is approximately 70 percent complete and will go before CB1�s Waterfront Committee later this fall.
