Affordable Housing & Community Center Revitalizes Coney Island
The revitalization of Coney Island continues with the selection of Coney Island Commons, LLC as developer for the project. The plan features 152 cooperative units, 75 percent of which will be for low-to-mid-income families, and a 40,000 SF community center to be operated by the YMCA. The development will create 240 construction jobs, 42 full-time and 125 part-time jobs.

NYCIDA Approves Financing For Special Needs Organizations
Financing assistance has been approved for several Special Needs Facilities Pooled Program organizations in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx. Six establishments, including the Association of Metroarea Autistic Children, Inc., and the Young Adult Institute, will receive around $14.6 million in financing and are expected to retain 366 jobs and add 99 additional jobs.
