NYCEDC Announces Developer and Development Plan for Kingsbridge Armory in the Bronx
Related Companies has been selected to redevelop the 575,000 SF Kingsbridge Armory in the Bronx. ‘The Shops at the Armory,' calls for destination anchor retail development coupled with specialty and local retail, restaurants, a cinema and community space. Other proposed features include catering and banquet space, a recreational facility and an outdoor open space with a seasonal farmers market and café. |

NYCEDC Selects Development Team for Expanded Trade Show Facility on Manhattan's West Side
NYCEDC has designated the team of Vornado Realty Trust and its wholly-owned subsidiary Merchandise Mart Properties Inc. (MMPI) to redevelop and expand the trade show facility on Pier 94 to include Pier 92. The enlarged facility will contain approximately 355,000 square feet of trade show and conference space. It will also feature a winter garden, accessible open space and a logistics center. |

Mayor Bloomberg Unveils 2008 New York City Card
Mayor Bloomberg released the third annual New York City Card, a credit card-sized guide for New York's political donor community detailing pending Federal and State issues and priorities. This year's card lists six of the City's top Federal and State agenda items, including increased support of infrastructure improvements for NYC's transportation, water and sewer systems. |

Completion of an Affordable 'Green' Building in Harlem
The Kalahari is an eco-friendly mixed-income residence built to the U.S. Green Building LEED Certification standards. Twenty-five percent of the building's energy comes from renewable sources such as solar and wind. HPD is working with other agencies to create homes that are more affordable and environmentally sustainable for almost a million more New Yorkers by 2030. |
