With the 110 education institutions, almost 1400 arts and cultural institutions, over 100 hospitals and thousands of human service organization, the not-for-profit sector generates and preserves the City’s intellectual and cultural capital and improves the quality of life for all New Yorkers.
On September 30, New York City Economic Development Corporation in conjunction with the Department of Cultural Affairs announced six initiatives to foster continued dynamism and growth in New York City’s arts sector.
The initiatives outlined below aim to support the growth of arts and cultural not-for-profits and encourage the thriving artist culture which has made the City the global art capital. |
