Alejandro Baquero-Cifuentes
THE CONCEPT BUILDER: Born in Bogota, Colombia, Alejandro started out as a lawyer working on project finance and infrastructure development before realizing that his true calling was urban planning.

Ann Li
THE GLOBETROTTER: As a consultant with Oliver Wyman and McKinsey & Company, traveling everywhere from Shanghai, London, Singapore, Seoul, and Taipei, Ann is no stranger to the world, or the airport for that matter. Ann arrived at NYCEDC with a mind toward a more stationary lifestyle, but with global aspirations just the same.

Daniel Zarrilli
MAN UNDERWATER: Dan came to NYCEDC with a mandate: to harness a band of rogue crustaceans and mollusks called marine borers that were eating their way through thousands of wood piles all across the City, threatening the future safety of New York's waterfront.

Kyle Kimball
THE NEGOTIATOR: Public service had always been on Kyle's agenda, stretching back to his days as an AmeriCorps volunteer at a hospice working with end-stage AIDS patients and as a graduate student at Harvard's Kennedy School of Government.
